Well, it may almost be like any other day, except for the fact that I have not gone into work for a week or so. Or the blackeyed peas, the Rose Bowl Parade, the lack of people out and about…the over abundance of hungover people at the Waffle House, and the lack of traffic.
Odd to see real anchors on the news today. Well, not odd since Congress has not yet (as of 7:57 p.m.) finalized anything about the fiscal cliff…
The one thing, is that all going smooth. And that is what I look forward to the rest of 2013. Smooth, fun, engaging and manageable. I need one of those years.

Sprinting in 2012

Now that they year has really started – one week of holiday-hangover-gift-returning-decompressing-backtotheoffice/school reprieve allowed – I know that this year will fly by.
Maybe because I already know what I may be doing in the next six months – or at least an option of what I may be doing, and because the past few years have decided to include nitrous oxide in its air intake.
As furious as this year will be, I think it is going to be one of our best ever. I do not know why I know it, but I really feel like this is going to be our year – not just yours, not just mine. Our year.
More and more I see people cooperating in projects, we “Socialize” just about everything (think the past few Revolutions, Occupations, any news article and even my new love for Pinterest.) And knowing everything I want to share…like the fact that I am listening to Kool Mo Dee as I edit this post
I still cannot believe how powerful and knowledgeable we have become and how fast we can activate on that knowledge. A good friend of mine had a baby in Japan last week, and in a few minutes I knew what type of baby gift to buy, how to buy it and when to send it according to traditional Japanese custom. The same exercise a while back would have included a trip to the library, advice from my family members who are more familiar with the culture, a few dozen phone calls and maybe a letter or two.

What if you applied Moor’s Law to Social interactions that are aided by your Social Graph? If my questions take a few minutes and a couple of messages/searches/hash-tags lookups to resolve (or to create more questions), how much more can I accomplish, Mr. Moor?

Liam is so ready for Halloween, with his Omoshiroi Sushi – 面白い寿司 (Funny Sushi) costume.
Jessica will be the Kikkoman Soy Sauce and I am Salmon Nigiri… plus little Ebi – err – Liam, we will be a Sushi Platter.

I just got off a plane…and been doing so for such a long time. Getting from one place to another so fast still fascinates me. One day I am in Dallas, the next in Atlanta, a few days later…you never know.
